We offer 38+ weekly sessions because we know a warrior’s schedule is demanding. Our training is built on four distinct modalities to ensure you are as mobile as you are strong:
HIIT & Strength: High-intensity metabolic conditioning paired with functional strength training to torch fat and build a resilient engine.
Athletic Performance: Explosive movements and agility work designed to keep you performing at a high level, whether you're on the field or playing with your kids.
Warrior Yoga: Tactical mobility and breathwork to increase range of motion, prevent injury, and regulate your nervous system after a high-stress day.
The Goal: Sustainable power. We don't train for a "quick fix"; we train for the long game—ensuring you have the physical capability to lead and protect for a lifetime.

Physical strength is a liability without mental clarity. Our Mastermind groups are the cornerstone of the Civilized Warriors experience. Once a week, we step off the mats and into a circle of trust to sharpen the mind:
Character Development: We dive into weekly topics ranging from stoicism and leadership to marriage and discipline.
Radical Accountability: This is a space to celebrate your wins and be honest about your challenges. Here, you aren't judged; you are held to the standard you set for yourself.
The Goal: To ensure the man you are in the gym is the same man you are at home and in the office. We sharpen the mind to match the body.

A warrior is defined by his actions and his impact on others. We move beyond the four walls of the studio to test our progress and give back:
Quarterly Physical Challenges: Four times a year, we tackle "extraordinary feats"—long-distance rucks, Spartan races, or local summits. These aren't solo missions; we train together and finish together.
Community Service Projects: True leadership is found in service. We organize local Highlands Ranch outreach to support those in need, teaching our children and our community what it means to be a "Civilized" Warrior.
Social Connectivity: From post-workout coffee to brotherhood outings, we facilitate the deep-rooted friendships that men often lack after 30.
The Goal: To close the gap of isolation and build a legacy of service in Highlands Ranch.

Mychael Shannon is a collegiate All-American swimmer, 5-time Ironman triathlete, and 3-time Leadville 100 finisher who has spent over 25 years coaching individuals to build physical and mental resilience. After navigating the shifting demands of adulthood and fatherhood, Mychael recognized that most men were quietly struggling with a loss of community and purpose that traditional fitness could not fix. He founded Civilized Warriors to bridge this gap, creating a high-integrity tribe for men who want to stop training in isolation and start moving toward a higher standard of discipline and connection. Guided by the belief that men don’t fail from a lack of effort, but from a lack of community, Mychael is dedicated to ensuring every member has the tribe they need to move Forward, Always.

This is where we sharpen the mind. We step out of the gym to discuss a weekly topic focused on character, leadership, discipline, or resilience. It is a moderated, confidential space to celebrate wins, navigate life’s challenges, and hold each other accountable to a higher standard of manhood.
With 38+ weekly sessions, we offer maximum flexibility. Most members find their "stride" with 3 to 4 training sessions per week, plus the weekly Mastermind. Our goal is sustainability—building a routine that fits into your life rather than overwhelming it.
Four times a year, we select a physical milestone—such as a ruck, a mountain summit, or a team race. We train for these events as a unit, ensuring that every man has the physical and mental tools to cross the finish line alongside his brothers.
